Short Motor Company is a retail distributor for Secured Capital Management Service Contracts. If you would like to purchase a Service Contract with your vehicle, please let me know as soon as you purchase the vehicle on eBay so that I can prepare the proper paperwork for you. If a Service Contract is not purchased, or if the vehicle is not eligible for a Service Contract, then the vehicle will be sold "As-Is" with no warranty expressed or implied. Please contact me with any questions about a Service Contract. See below for a list of available Service Contracts and their corresponding prices. All Service Contracts have a Per Occurence Charge of $100.
*BASIC SERVICE CONTRACT - Affordable coverage up to 150,000 miles

-Terms from 6 months/7,500 miles to 36 months/45,000 miles.
-Covers ENGINE (Cylinder block, cylinder heads, and all internal parts. Manifolds, valve train and covers, and flywheel. Camshaft and timing drive components. Oil pump and oil pan. Cylinder head and intake manifold gaskets are covered for coolant leaks only.), TRANSMISSION (Case and all internal parts. Torque converter and converter housing.), DIFFERENTIAL (Front or rear differential housing and all internal parts. Drive shaft and universal joints. Front axle joints are covered only on four wheel drive vehicles. Transfer case on four wheel drive vehicles and all internal parts.), COOLING SYSTEM (Fan and fan clutch. Electric radiator fan motor, water pump.), STEERING (Steering gear, rack and pinion assembly, and all internal parts. Power steering cooler and lines.), SUSPENSION (Springs, control arms, and ball joints.), BRAKES (All brake components, including all components of the anti-lock brake system, except linings, pads, rotors, and drums.), ELECTRICAL (Alternator, voltage regulator, windshield wiper motor and starter motor.), RENTAL CAR (Twenty-five dollars per eight hours of authorized flat rate time to repair or replace a covered component with a maximum of two hundred and fifty dollars.), TOWING (If your vehicle must be towed because a covered component has failed, towing to the nearest qualified repair center is covered up to a maximum of fifty dollars.), and LABOR (Labor charges are based on industry accepted flat rates to repair or replace a covered component.).
*STANDARD SERVICE CONTRACT - Superior coverage up to 150,000 miles

-Same coverage as the Basic Contract. Terms from 3 months/3,000 miles to 48 months/50,000 miles plus:
-DIFFERENTIAL (Front constant velocity joints on front wheel drive vehicles.), ELECTRICAL (Power window motors, power seat motors, and power door lock actuators.), AIR CONDITIONING (Compressor, compressor clutch, clutch coil, evaporator, and condenser on vehicles with factory installed air conditioning originally equipped with R134a.).
*GOLD/PLATINUM SERVICE CONTRACTS - Ultimate coverage up to 150,000 miles

-Same coverage and terms as the Basic Contract plus:
-48 MONTH TERM AVAILABLE, UNLIMITED MILEAGE, DIFFERENTIAL (Front constant velocity joints on front wheel drive vehicles.), ELECTRICAL (Power window motors, power seat motors, and power door lock actuators.), AIR CONDITIONING (Compressor, compressor clutch, clutch coil, evaporator, and condenser on vehicles with factory installed air conditioning originally equipped with R134a.).
*GENESIS SERVICE CONTRACT - Flexible monthly payments - Coverage up to 125,000 miles

-RENEWS MONTHLY FROM CUSTOMER'S CHECKING ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD, UNLIMITED MILEAGE, AIR CONDITIONING (Compressor, compressor clutch, clutch coil, evaporator, and condenser on vehicles with factory installed air conditioning originally equipped with R134a.).
*EXTENDED LIMIT SERVICE CONTRACT - Coverage up to 175,000 miles

-Powertrain contract for 12 months/15,000 miles including:
-RENTAL CAR (Twenty-five dollars per eight hours of authorized flat rate time to repair or replace a covered component with a maximum of two hundred and fifty dollars.), TOWING (If your vehicle must be towed because a covered component has failed, towing to the nearest qualified repair center is covered up to a maximum of fifty dollars.), LABOR (Labor charges are based on industry accepted flat rates to repair or replace a covered component.).

Fee and Tax Information: BUYERS FROM TEXAS: You will be charged 6.25% Sales Tax, $33 Title Transfer Fee, .52% Vehicle Inventory Tax, and a $50 Documentary Fee in addition to your winning bid. New license plates, registration sticker, and safety/emissions inspection sticker will all be included at no extra charge.
BUYERS FROM ANY STATE OUTSIDE OF TEXAS: You will only be charged Vehicle Inventory Tax of .52% and a Documentary Fee of $50 in addition to your winning bid. You are responsible for paying sales tax in your own state of residence (if applicable).
LICENSED AUTO DEALERS: You will not be charged any fees over the amount of your high bid. We will need a copy of your tax exemption permit.
TO ALL BUYERS: Total amount of vehicle is to be paid within 3 business days after the auction ends. Acceptable payment methods are: Cash (in person), Money Order, Cashier's Check, Certified Loan Check, or Bank Wire Transfer. All buyers will be issued a temporary buyer's tag good for 21 days after the time of sale. Vehicle must be picked up within 10 business days after auction ends.
If we already have the title to the vehicle it will be given to you in person when you pick up the vehicle, or sent to you via Overnight Mail (UPS or DHL) if you choose to ship the vehicle. If we do not yet have the title (very few cases, but does happen sometimes because of paperwork delays, taking care of new car trade payoffs, etc.), once we do receive the title (no longer than 7-10 days after the sale) it will be sent to you via Overnight Mail.
All vehicles must be paid for within 3 business days after the auction ends.
Winning bidder MUST contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for full payment at that time. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to sell it to the next highest bidder, re-list the vehicle, or sell it elsewhere. Please do not bid on this auction unless you are serious about owning this vehicle. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay. If financing, make sure your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.

All of our vehicles are thoroughly checked out by our mechanic before they are ever put on eBay and any maintenance needs are taken care of. Most of our customers are from out of state, so we take great care to make absolutely certain (to the best of our ability) that the vehicle is in excellent mechanical (and cosmetic) condition. Please understand these are used vehicles, and may have a few very minor imperfections that are not noted. We try very hard to describe each vehicle accurately; however, if you have a question about something not addressed in the description, please give us a call.
Sometimes the vehicle may have slightly more miles on it after the auction is over than what it had when the eBay listing started. This will not be a drastic mileage increase (usually only a couple hundred miles at the most), but it does happen on occasion because of test drives and demonstrations during the auction.
